I know I keep changing the way the Peeps say General's name. The truth might be that I keep changing my mind on how their pronunciation should be written, but for now let's just pretend each Peep pronounces it slightly differently, and this is the first time we've "heard" Blue Peep say it.
Comics!
I always love reading the clipped, misspelled, colloquial dialogue of old-style comics. It's just as endearing here; reminds me of Tony Millionaire minus the horrible disgusting fates of the characters.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind words, Neil! Clearly, I'm also a fan of colloquial dialogue in comics. Walt Kelly's "Pogo" was a big influence on my dad and his brother, Steve, and those comics have been an equally important influence on me. Kelly was a true master of dialogue--not to mention an incredible artist all around!
