PIPE DOPE will return on Monday, October 10
So much for those 10 more panels I was hoping to post before the end of this month. There's been a lot going on lately that's been knocking my posting schedule all out of whack, but rather than bore you with all of the ins and outs, I'll let the image above speak to my main distraction. Rest assured, though, that Pipe Dope is far from finished, and I'll be hitting the ground running when Corinne and I get back from the honeymoon. #126 goes up on Monday, October 10. Hope to e-see you then!

PIPE DOPE #125

My thanks as always for reading, and for bearing with my ridiculous posting schedule. I'm trying to get another two weeks' worth of content online before I take another couple of weeks off at the end of this month through the first part of October. Let's all keep our fingers crossed that works out--the script is done, I've just got to put in the hours at the drawing table.
That said, I'll hopefully be back in a few days with #126. In the meantime, here's a look at this week's thumbnails:

PIPE DOPE #124
At long last, we get to the titular line. I'm always wary of explicitly using a story's title within either the dialogue or captions, but Pipe Dope seemed esoteric enough to beg for an explanation. Here's hoping I pull it off with some sort of finesse over the next few days' worth of panels...

PIPE DOPE #123

If it wasn't already clear, I'm a real sucker for labels in comics. I've no doubt it stems from reading Chester Gould's Dick Tracy when I was much younger, and obsessing over Tracy's "2-way wrist radio." No matter how many times we'd already seen Tracy used it, it seemed Gould would always label it yet again in its next appearance.

PIPE DOPE #121

And we're back--at least for a bit. I didn't anticipate that extended break there, but life and all that goes with it has a way of consistently fouling our best-laid plans. In the midst of the madness, it can be nice to remember the little things, like mowing the lawn. Simpler times, and all that.
More tomorrow...
