Some things you might take away from these pages: Weeks 12 and 13 were as much (if not more) about the number of panels each day as they were about what was drawn in those panels. And this past week, in #75, I really didn't know how I wanted to do that sound effect until I was working on the actual panel.
I think with the upcoming Week 16 I might start including the thumbnails in the last post for every week (ideally on Fridays, too often on Saturdays). Just a thought. We'll all know what I decide on Friday, June 3.

You're much more organized with your thumbnails than me. I just scribble out the layout in a fashion that gives me the kinesthetic experience of drawing the layout before I move to the final page. Unfortunately, this means I won't be able to show my designs, or god willing, sell them for a profit. ;)
ReplyDeleteI start with a script in a Word document and then knock out these thumbnails before touching the actual page, but that's just because I tend to be more than a bit OCD. My technique for outlining the articles I write for American Cinematographer is truly ludicrous and makes my comics workflow look utterly slipshod by comparison. The only right way to do something is the way that works for you. (Anyway, that's what I keep telling myself...)
