Holy moley--I've done 150 of these. For a guy who spent way too many years thinking about making comics without actually doing anything about it, this landmark--minor as it is--brings with it a certain sense of satisfaction.
55 more to go...
But first: this week's thumbnails!
Congratulations on 150 strips! That's quite an a achievement, so keep it up!
ReplyDeleteAnd while I understand that the Death of Superman is just a period-specific reference here, I keep coming up with witty retorts from the clerk (for example, "Spoiler Alert: he gets better" or " he died for mankind's lack of creativity")
Thanks so much, Neil! The story will continue tomorrow with #151--apologies for the delay, but things have been busy.
ReplyDeleteI actually wrestled for a while with the idea of giving the clerk something to say in that last panel, but at the end of the day I figured it works as is, and readers are welcome to think up their own retorts. (Also, both of your options are better than anything I came up with!)
WTG Jon! Some day I'll have to backtrack to the beginning of the series.
ReplyDeleteI don't care what anyone says, the Man of Tomorrow will always be the real Superman to me...
Thanks, Andy! It means a lot to know you've been sticking with this. If and when you do go back to the beginning, I hope it all holds together...
