My technique for outlining the articles I write for American Cinematographer is truly ludicrous and makes my comics workflow look utterly slipshod by comparison. The only right way to do something is the way that works for you. I just scribble out the layout in a fashion that gives me the kinesthetic experience of drawing the layout before I move to the final page.
